Church Anyone? From Disgruntled to Sold Out Again lgsBlog-OCT2016  Podcast

This past Sunday I was feeling like a "bad Christian", uninspired, guilty for not feeling inspired, my heart was not in the right place. I was feeling sorry for myself, ungrateful and in my mind "hissing at my brother with a chip upon my shoulder", more than one brother I might add. But then we worshiped... after Bill Brown prayed us in I started to strum my guitar and sing the words “all Your ways are good, all Your ways are sure, I trust in You alone … higher than my side, high above my life, I trust in…

Hi friends, this is Lisa Gallant Seal, your worship leader here at The First Baptist Church of Portland (Maine) checking in, updating and giving account of what has been going on with the "Ragamuffin Worship Team" here at 360 Canco Road. We had a beautiful worship time this past Sunday morning. Starting off with prayer, and thank-you Peter Fomichenko for leading us in that prayer. We worshiped in song, tithe, God's Word through Pastor Keith and Communion.

Oh yes, it was a full and Spirit filled…

Ragamuffin Worshiper Report FBCP April 18th 2016

FBCP Ragamuffin WORSHIP TIME Report - April 17 2016

How I love to worship at FBCP. We opened this past Sunday’s service worshiping God with the song “Open the Eyes of Our Heart”. For me, our first song ushered in the reality of how much I want the Lord to make my heart desire more and more of Him each day. The more I know Jesus, the thirstier I get. He never fails to make poignant, perfect points as He shares them with me through personal revelation

God is opening the “eyes of our

Is Your "Face Flat Down" or Are You Looking From the Worlds View?  Podcast

I see much of the “world's view” to life, how to look at it and how to live it seeping into our church today. We all want, as lovers of Jesus Christ, for people to know Him and to receive Him so they will experience His Agape love. Why is it then I am tempted to find other ways besides Scripture to speak His Word to an unbeliever or to a brother or sister in Christ?
I think that if I find a softer, more acceptable way to tell of God’s “heavier side”, by eliminating words like sin, repentance, His jealousy…Read more

    Bring a gift of laughter,
    sing yourselves into his presence.

He made us; we didn’t make him.
We’re his people, his well-tended sheep.

Enter with the password: “Thank you!”
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
    Thank him. Worship him.

For God is sheer beauty,
    all-generous in love,

It's Comin' On Christmas  Podcast

"It's coming on Christmas, they're cutting down trees, they're putting up reindeer, and singing songs of joy and peace. Oh I wish I had a river I could skate away on” - Joni Mitchell/River

When I was a kid I used to listen to Joni Mitchell. I was attracted to her smart lyric that seemed to flow so effortlessly from her heart; her words were infectious, deep and emotional. I love that.

The words of her song filled my head just now. I am feeling extremely grateful to just be sitting here on my couch doing…Read more

Mother's Day ~ "just sayin"  Podcast

MAY! It is seventy plus degrees out today, yay, May!

I just had a really nice worship time with my worship team (team B) this afternoon (practice for tomorrow).

Our song lineup is all about how beautiful God is, how mighty He is and how we are absolutely NOTHING without Him. Yes, "we" and no, I am not practicing my French.

God has blessed us at First Baptist Church of Portland. We are very near the place of having TWO worship teams serving the contemporary service at 10:45. I call them the A TEAM and the B…Read more

The Only One - Lisa Gallant Seal - Update October 2013

How do you like my new poster? I like it. There have been a lot of changes in the past few months. My heart started yearning for something more at the beginning of this year. And as 2013 moves to a close, I find the Lord had something less in mind. I dissolved my band, The Lisa Gallant Seal Band (our last performance together was Soulfest2013) with the exception of John Lafollette of "Dream in Purple". You will be seeing more of me in solo concerts and with John backing me with guitar. It is not unlike when…Read more

God is TOO Funny! LGSB @Soulquest ... again!

Will I ever learn not to second guess God? Just as I decided that I should wind down and commit to more solo/duo gigs this fall God slips me an awesome opportunity to open for a bunch of crazy cool ROCKERS FOR CHRIST at the Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor Maine. Who would of thunk it, little old me opening up for my friends THE WRECKING and then, KUTLESS and the featured performance of CASTING CROWNS. I got a great line up of guys willing to rip themselves away from thier busy schedules to accompany me on…
